Veramendi Elementary is recognized for its achievements in English Language Arts and Reading, while a variety of programs allow young learners to explore and find their individual interests. From Fine Arts and Spanish Language Arts to Gifted and Talented programs, students have room to discover, learn, and build a strong foundation. With a score of 89 in the Texas school accountability rating and a 91 for Student Achievement, VE reflects continued academic progress.

Lamar Elementary
Lamar Elementary (LE) brings another exceptional educational option to families at Veramendi. Serving students from kindergarten through fifth grade, Lamar Elementary relocated to a brand-new campus in Veramendi in 2025, creating a modern learning environment designed to support students as they grow.
The new campus was designed to support learning, creativity, and connection, with features including an art room with outdoor access, an open-concept library, and second-floor patio spaces. Collaborative learning and meeting spaces were also designed to give students and teachers room to work together. At the same time, additional parking and spacious pick-up and drop-off areas make the daily school routine more convenient for families.
This commitment to meaningful learning spaces is reflected in LE’s academic performance, with an A rating and a score of 91 in the 2026 Texas accountability ratings.
A Strong Foundation Through New Braunfels ISD
As students grow, their educational journey continues nearby. Oak Run Middle School, located less than a ten-minute drive from Veramendi, provides students in grades 6-8 with opportunities to explore academics, athletics, fine arts, and extracurricular activities. New Braunfels High School, located just across the street, offers a wide range of academic and extracurricular programs. Together, these schools prepare students for the future.
