With five parks already in the community and more coming soon, there’s always something new to explore. 

  1. Bennett Park: Surrounded by live oaks, this one-acre park features a covered pavilion, large play lawn, and children’s playground.

  1. Cowan Park: Located near The Ledge, this one-acre park features open space with heritage live oak trees, children’s play equipment, a large play lawn, and a covered pavilion. 
  2. Eleanor Park: Located next to a scenic greenbelt, the park features a log scramble, a tire swing, a play lawn, a covered pavilion, and a walking circle. 
  3. Emerson Park: This park features adult porch swings, wooden climbing blocks, and children’s play equipment. 
  4. Molly Park: Packed with adventure play components and a wooden crow’s nest, this park features soft topography surrounded by heritage oaks. 
  5. Word Park (Coming Soon): Set to break ground this year, Veramendi’s first regional park will span 76 acres and feature nature playscapes, pickleball courts, adventure elements, and more for residents of all ages to enjoy. 

Veramendi’s convenient location also places residents close to many beloved parks and nature spots throughout New Braunfels. 

Landa Park is a New Braunfels favorite, and this year the annual Live @ Landa Concert Series continues. Offering free concerts every third Thursday of the month, you and your family can enjoy a family-friendly event from 6-9 pm at the Landa Park Dance Slab. 

Spanning more than 50 acres, Landa Park offers scenic walking trails, playgrounds, picnic areas, paddle boats, a miniature train, and access to Comal Springs and Comal River. Whether you’re enjoying a family picnic or attending one of the many community events throughout the year, Landa Park shows the natural beauty and spirit that make New Braunfels such a desirable place to call home. 

Trails for Walking, Running, and Exploring 

Located less than 10 minutes from Veramendi, Panther Canyon Nature Trail offers 2.5 miles of scenic trails that ascend the Balcones Escarpment into the Edwards Plateau. Along the way, enjoy peaceful Hill Country views and opportunities to view local wildlife, making it the perfect destination for hiking and outdoor exploration near Veramendi.

Close to the Best Nature Spots in New Braunfels 

Just 10 minutes away from Veramendi is Headwaters at the Comal. The 16-acre site is New Braunfels Utilities’ (NBU) Conservation Legacy project. The project has already reduced 94% of the pollutants reaching the Comal Springs system and established hundreds of native plants and trees. The final phase of the project is currently underway, with an expected completion date in early 2027. While construction is in progress, site visits require registration
