Expanding Horizons: Veramendi Thrives with New Amenities and Homes in New Braunfels

We’re really excited to move through that design right now.”
In addition to recreational amenities, Veramendi plans to include a vibrant commercial district offering retail, entertainment venues, dining options, medical services and office spaces. Veramendi families will also benefit from the addition of a new New Braunfels ISD elementary school which is currently under construction and projected to open in August 2025. This new addition complements the existing Veramendi Elementary School, which has been serving the community since 2017.
Looking ahead, Veramendi is preparing to launch two new phases within the community, offering single‑family homes for sale. One phase includes a 550‑lot section which will incorporate some custom homebuilders. Additionally, Del Webb, a 55+ active adult community, will have 700 lots and is projected to open early 2025.

We have a lot of topography, and we have a lot of industries,” Mechler said. “I think part of what makes the area really special is the adjacency to downtown New Braunfels, Schlitterbahn and River Road.
